Why do they call it the magic Kingdom?

24 02 2009

img_0224This is just a few of the 14 of us that went on a family vacation to Disney World.  It was wonderful and we made some great memories… that is the best result of any vacation.

I was very impressed with the Disney staff and how friendly they were.  They seemed to genuinely celebrate every person that came in the gates.  How did their management motivate this virtual army of employees to give this dedication?  Why do they call it the magic Kingdom… The place where dreams come true?

My conclusion is people love to dream.  Children love Disney World… whether they are five or fifty-five, because they love to dream.  God created us all to live a dream.  Disney is a dream-world on earth… princesses, knights in shining armor, “it’s a small world”, fun, positive, celebration…

What I am taking away from this vacation is a lot of great memories and an education on Church.  The fact is God has given us the real thing… we are part of the real ‘magic Kingdom’ and it is beyond our wildest dreams.  My intent as a pastor is to continually help people dream their impossible dream realizing that with God, all things are possible.

I love Parachute 09

img_0206Nothing great is an overnight success.  It always take consistency and persistency.  Parachute ministries have been consistently and persistently growing their impact in New Zealand for 25 years!  They have made a huge difference!

I had the privilege to speak again (my 7th time) at their ‘Parachute Festival’ this year and again, I was blown away.  It is so healthy!  A music festival filled with healthy teaching, fun, worship, food… where teens, young children and adults alike mix and get along (it is still a predominately young persons festival).

I loved it and can’t wait till next year.
